TERMS & CONDITIONS
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- Mandatory Documents: Please have your dive certification and proof of dive insurance (covering your certification level) ready to show at check-in.
- Travel Insurance: We highly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation coverage for your peace of mind.
PAYMENT TERMS
- To Secure Your Booking: A 25% deposit is required. This can be paid via bank transfer in IDR or USD. Please ensure the full amount, net of all bank fees and charges, is received.
- Final Payment: The remaining balance is due 30 days before your trip start date. You’ll receive a reminder from us.
- On-Site Payments: Extras can be settled in IDR cash or by credit/debit card (a small surcharge applies for foreign-issued cards). For our current daily exchange rate (USD/EUR to IDR), please email booking@divinginkomodo.com.
- Late Payment: If your final balance is not received by the due date and we don’t hear from you within 3 days of our reminder, your booking will be cancelled, and your deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee.
CANCELLATION AND CHANGES
- How to Cancel: Please notify us in writing at booking@divinginkomodo.com as soon as possible.
- Credit for Future Travel (Cancellations 21+ days): Cancel at least 21 days before your trip, and we’ll convert all payments made into a full credit for a future booking. This credit is valid for 12 months from your original trip date. (Please note cash refunds are not available).
- Last-Minute Cancellations (Less than 21 days): For cancellations within 21 days of departure, or in case of no-show, all payments paid are forfeited as a cancellation fee.
- Travel Insurance: If your reason for cancellation is covered by your travel insurance, we are happy to provide a proof-of-loss letter upon request.
- No Refunds for Unused Services: We cannot offer refunds or credits for illness, missed dives, or shortened stays. This is why comprehensive travel insurance is essential.
- If we need to cancel: In the unlikely event we must cancel due to force majeure (e.g., weather, volcanic activity, political issues), we will offer a 100% refund or a 100% credit for a future booking. Please note, we are not liable for any related costs like flights or hotels.
Modification and Date Changes
- Changing Your Date: Date changes are welcome, subject to availability. Please note that current rates will apply, and original discounts may not be honored.
- Reducing Your Package: For changes made within 14 days of arrival that lower the total cost, a 30% administrative fee will apply to the difference.
Operations & Vessels
- On Shared Trips: The boat is assigned based on schedule and availability, so specific boat requests cannot be accommodated.
- Vessel Substitution: In the rare event of mechanical issues, we reserve the right to substitute the boat with another of equal or higher standard. This is at our discretion and does not qualify for a refund or compensation.
- Itinerary Flexibility: For your safety and due to weather or operational reasons, dive sites and itineraries may be adjusted. We appreciate your understanding that no refunds or credits apply in these cases.
